Bridging the Gap

The Young Scholars Program serves and supports students from the nine largest urban public school districts in Ohio. For 30 years, The Ohio State University has been committed to first generation college students and fostering their success at Ohio State.

"The Young Scholars Program represents the best of our land grant mission. It's a monumental achievement to be able to graduate over 1,000 first-generation college students who come from some of the most fragile, vulnerable communities in America."
